Project plan for the redevelopment of the Royal Palace former gardens, now the Museum of Libya, Tripoli.
The restoration project of the King’s Palace great garden is based on the respect of existing trees and plants which need to be pruned and integrated of their missing parts.
The project finds its inspiration from an existing planimetric system as in the original drawings created by engineer Mantegazza (1924-1940), who had designed the building and directed the construction works. The integration of the new autochthon plants and trees needs the design of new flower-beds created along alleyways inspirited to the most magnificent European royal residences such as Versailles and Caserta royal palaces, the Quirinale gardens in Rome , the Buen Ritiro park in Madrid and so on. The aim is to generate different emotions through the alleyways that intersect each other creating always new backgrounds and new perspectives.
