Conversion project of an ex machine shop farm in office of architecture.
The project involved the conversion of a former machine shop of the '30s in an architecture studio. It situated in the Prati neighborhood, in a building designed by Ing. Innocenzo Sabbatini, the project has left unchanged the existing structure, including the wooden balcony intended once a foreman. The new materials have affected the finishing: plank maple, industrial concrete floor, clear glass for cuts on the floor, stairs galvanized iron and basalt stone that give structure to the original atmosphere in a contemporary way. The planning area is located at street level and on the balcony in front of the large iron and glass windows, while on the lower floor are located the meeting room, library/archive, the consultation room and the services.
